Yes it has always been thus….. what say you about the idea that as we look to AI to help solve our problems, because we still see disease, old age and death as problems, the ramifications of humans living 150-200 years old…..with augmented systems merging of tech etc…I mean I am more worried about the eventual integration of humans with tech….which will surely spell our demise more rapidly than a reluctance by people to have children…….in the people like to have sex and even with birth control etc…. I think many of us are here by accident…..albeit a happy accident;-)……
On the last point, I found this from T. S. Eliot in Four Quartets:
